Here at Claw R/C, I only use the finest paint products available. I use paints by PPG, House of Kolor, and Sherwin Williams, and clear coated with fuel resistant clear coats. The wide range of products I use allows me to offer you exactly what you are looking for in your custom paint work. Color change paints, metal flake, pearls, you name it, it can be done. I do not do artsy airbrushing stuff, but offer a top quality, durable and incredibly glossy product.

Vinyl

Ever since I started painting, I have been doing vinyl work. What was originally purchased to make help me make my lines cleaner, and offer more flexibility with designs, has evolved to new exciting offerings in vinyl. Claw RC is proud to offer not only high quality holographic blade decals, but with the ability to cut vinyl stickers for your heli, boat, airplane or car, the possibilities for you to increase visibility or just "wow" factor, is near unlimited.

Decals

After having done this for a while, and seeing many different offerings by different companies, and struggling a little myself to find just the right fix, I was determined to find a solution for detail work such as pilot names and what not. I toyed with the print and cut clear vinyl, but when clear coated over, there was too much of a ridge for my likes. So after doing a lot of experimenting, I started making my own decals. Decals are thin, flexible, and work wonderfully for these kinds of details.

Every month, there is a job that ends up being special to me. For September, it was a St. Louis Cardinals themed custom painted r/c helicopter canopy for an Align T-Rex 600e Helicopter. As this was a gift, several weeks were spent passing ideas back and forth, and this is what we came up with. Sprayed using silver metal flake, red flake and black, with some carefully applied paint masks, and custom printed decals, then covered with a high gloss clear.
